Janine’s Professional Bio

Janine Cavanaugh acquired her first paying client 12 years ago by giving a free presentation at her local library on the topic of organizing, and she’s been organizing and teaching ever since. As a Certified Professional Organizer® she enjoys helping her clients reach their organizing, downsizing, and de-cluttering goals. She specializes in helping people make mindful decisions about their possessions and successfully edit their stuff.

Teaching is an integral part of her business, whether she’s working one-on-one with a client or in front of a group. It encourages her to keep acquiring knowledge, expertise, and insight about all topics related to organizing. Clients she has instructed and worked with have included adults, seniors and their families, small business owners, Realtors, University facility and staff, and members of specific groups and organizations. The topics she has taught, both in and out of the classroom, have included general home organizing, downsizing, de-cluttering, paper management, closet organizing, as well as organizing processes, tips, and guidelines.
