Janine’s Professional Bio
Janine Cavanaugh acquired her first paying client 12 years ago by giving a free presentation at her local library on the topic of organizing, and she’s been organizing and teaching ever since. As a Certified Professional Organizer® she enjoys helping her clients reach their organizing, downsizing, and de-cluttering goals. She specializes in helping people make mindful decisions about their possessions and successfully edit their stuff.
Teaching is an integral part of her business, whether she’s working one-on-one with a client or in front of a group. It encourages her to keep acquiring knowledge, expertise, and insight about all topics related to organizing. Clients she has instructed and worked with have included adults, seniors and their families, small business owners, Realtors, University facility and staff, and members of specific groups and organizations. The topics she has taught, both in and out of the classroom, have included general home organizing, downsizing, de-cluttering, paper management, closet organizing, as well as organizing processes, tips, and guidelines.
She has also shared her knowledge and expertise through local TV programs, news articles, and social media. She has been a guest as an organizing expert on Mind UR Business WVBF 1530 AM Talk Radio, Dartmouth Community Television, Double ACS TV 15, Access Bellingham-Mendon, Inc. TV, SoMa Radio AM 1320 WARL, and WNRI 1380AM Radio. She has been interviewed and quoted as an organizing expert in the Providence Journal Express, The Valley Breeze Newspapers, Hometown News, and The Sun Chronicle.
As an active member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), and the Women’s Business Network of Southeast MA, she continues to network in her community to build valuable resources and strong strategic alliances.
