The gift giving season is upon us once again, and at this time of year I like to share my Organizer-friendly gift ideas. These options are alternatives to traditional gifts, because they focus on zero waste. They’re clutter-free gift ideas, gifts of experiences, and gifts that get used up.

Let Santa take it away!
A friend of mine shared a nice idea on Facebook that I think is worth passing along. She mentioned that a family tradition was to have her children pack up a bag of toys that they no longer play with and put them under the tree on Christmas Eve. Santa takes them back to the North Pole and fixes them up to give to other girls and boys the next year. I think this is a very creative way to model giving back. It can be done with clothing also. Is this something you’d do with your family? Do you have any family traditions that model giving back? Please share.
