Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2021! I hope you are healthy and keeping a positive mindset. That’s my objective this year, especially since I was sick with Covid for 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thankfully it didn’t hit me too hard, and I’ve made a full recovery. Now, I’m ready to dive into my 13th year as a Professional Organizer and help as many people as I can, organize, downsize and de-clutter. What’s in store for you this year?

How I help my clients donate and recycle.

The less we have the less we have to organize and maintain. This is a guideline I use all the time with my clients. It’s helpful to reevaluate our belongings on a frequent basis to separate the used from the unused. An important part of my job is to help remove unused items that can be recycled or donated. My car is often packed with clothing, small household items, books, and toys to be donated and recycled.

Clothes and shoes are one of the easiest things to donate. My go to place for clothing donations is Clothes to Go because they give directly to people in need. They are also conveniently close to my home. If we have clothes or shoes that are worn out, stained or torn I bring them to Bay State Textiles. They also recycle other fabric items such as linens, stuffed animals, pillows, and sleeping bags.

Savers is my go to place for household items and small furniture items. The location in North Attleboro takes, books, toys, linens and decorative items as well.

I also help recycle and donate a variety of other items. Toys, books, art supplies and teaching supplies get donated to local day care centers. Linens, cleaning supplies, and pet stuff gets recycled to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter. Tools, hardware and building supplies get donated to Habitat for Humanities. Cords, cables and electronics get recycled with Best Buy or Indie Cycle.
